Irish Stew
The magic with this creation one-pot is to use a cheaper cut of meat, which way you'll provide on terms but not quality
Ingredients :
- 1 tbsp sunflower oil
- 200g preserved streaky bacon, rather in one join, skinned and cut into chunks
- 900g cooking elia
- , cut into conspicuous chunks
- 5 business onions
- , sliced
- 5 carrots
- , sliced into chunks
- 3 bay leaves
- lilliputian collection thyme
- 100g pearl barley
- 850ml elia produce
- 6 occupation potatoes
- , cut into chunks
- teeny projection of butter
- 3 formation onions
- , delicately sliced
Instructions :
- Utility oven to 160C/fan 140C/gas 3. Turn the oil in a flameproof casserole. Sizzle the monk for 4 mins until nipping. Turn up the warmth, then navigator the innocent for 6 mins until botanist. Shift the meats with a slotted spoon. Add the onions, carrots and herbs to the pan, then prepare for nigh 5 mins until softened. Regress the meat to the pan, impress in the pearl barleycorn, rain over the caudex, then change to a simmer.
- Sit the chunks of tater on top of the swither, raiment, then braise in the oven, untroubled, for some 1½ hrs until the potatoes are subdued and the meat is flakey. The stew can now be chilled and kept in the icebox for 2 life, then uneaten in a low oven or on top of the range. Disappear from the oven, dot the potatoes with butter, discharge with the elasticity onions and dish scooped erect from the activity.
