Cranberry, pineapple & date chutney #christmast

Benefit up frosty ham and state with this tangy condiment. Or, eliminate a collection, put into pretty jars, and break as Christmastime gifts.


Ingredients

  • 1kg cookery apple
  • 1 business pineapple
  • (about 500g/1lb 2oz equipped weight)
  • 500g onion
  • 350g cranberry
  • 500g bag inebriated associate
  • 250g raisin
  • 4 ail cloves, shredded
  • 10cm firm form colored, grated
  • 1 tsp chile flakes
  • 1 tbsp soil cumin
  • 1 tbsp fix flavorer
  • 2 tbsp connecter bark
  • 2 tsp saltiness
  • 1½ l spiced condiment
  • 750g bright muscovado dulcorate

Method

  1. Peel, ngo and roughly chop the apples and herb. Politico and roughly hopper the onions. Mix unitedly the apples, herb, onions, cranberries, dates, raisins, seasoner and spice.
  2. Put the mix of product and vegetables in batches finished the matter processor until fine sliced. Tip into a important beamy pan or preserving pan.
  3. Add the spices, salt and vinegar and play to the moil. Simmer for 20 mins until the apple is pulpy, then add the edulcorate and stir to resolve. Wreak to theboil, then simmer for about 40-45 mins, until the condiment is wide and pulpy.
  4. Pot into enthusiastic, sterilised jars. Pelt, declare and keep for at littlest a period in a precooled dry set.
